CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The colder temperatures have certainly departed South Texas and we are getting into a weather pattern that is a little bit more on the familiar side.

In the coming days, we’ll see our southeasterly winds pick up, which will lead to mild/warm afternoon highs, and also an increase in some cloud coverage over the region.

We begin today Tuesday with some dense patchy fog that is reducing visibility down below a mile for some locations. Residents are urged to use caution on the area roads by slowing down and giving themselves plenty of time to arrive at their destinations safely.

Morning fog and sea fog will be a part of our day's thanks to the wind coming off the Gulf and that warm air riding over the cool waters.

Look for high temperatures in the middle 70s this afternoon with lots of afternoon sunshine. Enjoy it because clouds will be on the increase beginning on Wednesday with winds from the southeast at 10-20 mph.

The fog returns tonight with low temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s.

Wednesday won’t be as nice with mainly cloudy skies and windy winds out of the south-southeast around 15-25 mph.

Late Thursday and into Friday a weak front will stall in the area and contribute a few stray showers to the forecast. Unfortunately, it won’t be anything substantial. Skies will remain cloudy and highs will still be in the low to mid-70s.

For the weekend, clouds will stick around along with the wind.

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine today!
