Sunshine returns Friday, warming trend this weekend

An upper level wave will move through south Texas Thursday night, keeping the clouds and cool air in place. Some light rain is possible but won't be much with only a few hundredths expected. We'll start the day Friday dry and clouds will gradually clear with a north breeze, keeping temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Clear skies will allow temperatures to drop into the lower 40s Friday night, giving us a chilly start to the day Saturday. The weekend looks pleasant with afternoon highs in the lower 70s Saturday and reaching the upper 70s Sunday as winds shift to the south. Clouds will return with the onshore flow Sunday night and could produce a spot shower Monday. The warming continues through Tuesday with some areas reaching 80 degrees before a cold front moves through Tuesday night giving us a chance of light rain and cooling us down into the 50s by Wednesday.

Thursday night: Light showers are possible with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Little to no rainfall is expected.

Friday: Becoming mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s and north winds up to 12 mph.

Friday Night: Clear and chilly with lows in the low to mid 40s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and light northerly winds shifting to the southwest.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 70s and south winds up to 12 mph.
