It will feel like mid-summer the next few days as temperatures rise to near 100 inland and low to mid 80s at the beaches. Humidity will climb and will make it feel hotter. Afternoon heat indices will reach 100-108 inland through Thursday before we cool slightly for the weekend. The ridge of high pressure aloft will build over south Texas through Wednesday then weaken later in the week as a trough of low pressure aloft moves into north Texas this weekend. This will give us a chance of rain starting Friday through the weekend but showers and t-storms will be isolated.
Tonight: Patchy fog and some low clouds developing with lows near 70 inland to the mid to upper 70s at the coast with south-southeast winds at 6 -12 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the upper 90s to 100 inland and lower 80s beaches and south winds at 10-20 mph. Heat indices will reach 100-105 during peak heating inland.
Wednesday-Thursday: Morning low clouds then mostly sunny, hot, humid and breezy with highs near 100 inland to the low 80s beaches and south-southeast winds at 12-22 mph.
