CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The widely scattered showers and storms over the last couple of days will taper off tonight.

The broad mid-level trough and the tropical atmosphere will start to change.

High pressure will move in and dry us out somewhat by Thursday and into the weekend. But that comes at a price as high humidity and temperatures in the middle 90s will give us Heat Index readings between 108-115 degrees. Stay safe and hydrated and in the shade.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy with spot showers. Low: 78

Thursday: Partly Cloudy. Hot and Humid. High: 93
