It was a rather pleasant start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend as we saw a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high of 83 degrees.
A few spotty showers popped up in some of our inland locations. However, the rain will be on the increase as we head into Sunday afternoon.
The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with an overnight low of 76. The forecast for tomorrow calls for mostly cloudy skies with some afternoon showers possible and a daytime high of 93.
Abundant tropical moisture will lead to numerous showers in our area on Monday and Tuesday and the rain chances will continue for much of our workweek. Daytime highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Tropical Storm Sally will also be moving through the Gulf of Mexico the next couple of days.
It will likely be a hurricane when it reaches the Louisiana coastline late on Monday or early Tuesday.
