CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Although a weak cold front is pushing through the Coastal Bend this evening, there is not enough instability or moisture in the atmosphere to generate more than isolated showers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the week will be hot and dry, then eyes should focus on tropical development.
Temperatures will remain at or slightly above normal for this time of year.
A better chance of rain will come early next week, as tropical activity now developing east of the Windward Islands moves through the Caribbean and into the Gulf of Mexico.
Meantime, expect highs in the middle to upper 90s, with lows in the middle 70s.
