We'll have a brief break from the hot, humid weather thanks to a cold front which will move through early Wednesday. A line of showers and t-storms moving south over the Gulf Wednesday morning could clip the Coastal Bend but many areas will be missed, especially farther inland. The chance of rain is best in the morning through early afternoon before the drier air moves in with breezy northeast winds. Lows will be cooler Wednesday night, dropping into the low to mid 60s under mostly clear skies. Thursday and Friday will be warm with lower humidity before hot, humid weather returns this weekend as a ridge of high pressure strengthens over south Texas through early next week, giving us weather more typical of mid-summer.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, breezy and muggy with lows in the low to mid 70s. There is a slight chance of a shower or t-storm, mainly inland early in the night.
