A Freeze Warning is in effect for parts of the Coastal Bend from 2-8 AM Wednesday as temperatures drop to 28-32 degrees. Those in the warned area will want to protect tender vegetation and cover exposed outdoor water pipes so they do not burst. Also, don't forget to give your pets a warm place to sleep. Winds will be lighter Wednesday and with abundant sunshine, temperatures will reach the upper 50s to lower 60s in the afternoon, falling into the 30s and lower 40s Wednesday night. We'll start warming up Thursday and Friday with days reaching into the 60s. A weak cold front will give us a few showers Friday but rainfall amounts look light, under a quarter inch. High pressure builds back in this weekend providing us with cool nights and mild days.
Tuesday Night: Clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s well inland to the mid 30s to near 40 at the coast with north winds at 5-10 mph.
Wednesday: After a cold morning, sunny skies will bring temperatures up into the upper 50s to lower 60s with a light northerly breeze.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s and a southeast breeze up to 12 mph.
Friday: Chance of rain with scattered showers and highs in the upper 60s as winds shift to the north by afternoon.
Weekend: Sunny and mild with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and chilly nights in the 40s.
