CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Fair skies and scattered high clouds predominate over the Coastal Bend late today as weak high pressure over the Gulf of Mexico begins to usher Gulf moisture back into the area.

Overnight temperatures will moderate along with afternoon highs through midweek, but a strong cold front Wednesday evening will bring windy, much colder conditions for your Christmas Eve. The early winter chill will be short-lived, with a clear and mild Christmas Day and continued warming under fair skies through the end of the week.

Highs will be generally in the 70s to lower 80s, except upper 50s Thursday followed by middle 60s Christmas Day. Lows will range in the 40s to 50s, except 60s Wednesday morning and 30s Christmas morning.
