CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The cool weather is sticking around for today but as winds shift to the south, we'll warm up a bit from Wednesday into the weekend.
Clouds will move in today as an upper level low pressure area moves across south Texas but no rain is expected here. The clouds move out Wednesday and we'll have abundant sunshine for the rest of the week.
Winds will shift to the north again for Friday behind a cold front which will bring temperatures down slightly to end the work week. The next cold front moves in Sunday and will bring an isolated rain chance late in the weekend.
Today looks partly sunny with a cool afternoon as temperatures only reach near 50 with north winds up to 12 mph. Tuesday night will be cold once again with temperatures near freezing in our northern inland counties and around 34 in Corpus Christi.
Wednesday will be slightly warmer but still on the cool side with a high near 60, mostly sunny skies and light north winds.
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week as south winds and abundant sunshine brings temperatures up into the lower 70s.
Friday will still be sunny with high temperatures in the mid 60s and a cool north breeze up to 18 mph.
