Most of the Coastal Bend missed out on the rain with the cold front Wednesday afternoon but we will all get a dose of cooler air which will be noticed by early Thursday morning as temperatures fall into the lower 40s with northwesterly winds.

Abundant sunshine Thursday will boost afternoon temperatures into the mid 60s but the northwest wind up to 20 mph will be chilly. As the wind dies down Thursday night, temperatures will fall into the upper 30s, giving us a cold start to the day Friday.

It will stay on the cool side Friday and into the weekend with high temperatures only near 60. Clouds will increase Saturday as a surface low pressure area approaches south Texas. Rain showers will increase late Saturday night and Sunday, moving out by Sunday evening. The rain chance is higher with numerous showers with most areas receiving a quarter to half inch of rain.

The first half of next week looks cooler than average with nights in the upper 30s and 40s and days in the lower 60s under partly cloudy skies.
