We'll get a break from the heat as a cold front sweeps through south Texas late tonight, dropping temperatures considerably for Friday with clouds and breezy northerly winds.
Widely scattered showers are expected but rainfall amounts will be low and spotty. Warmer weather moves back in this weekend with highs climbing into the upper 80s Sunday.
