CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After beginning the early morning with some dense patchy fog and a bit of some mist and drizzle, a cold front has pushed much of that to our south and now some cooler and drier air will begin to filter into South Texas on the heals of a northerly wind around 15-25 mph.

With this latest front, our roller-coaster of temperatures will continue as we look for cooler temperatures today, colder weather tonight and eventually back on the rise by the end of the week and into the weekend.

Today we'll have mainly sunny skies with strong northerly winds around 15-25 mph as temperatures top in the low 70s. Winds will begin to relax later in the day.

Tonight will be quite chilly to cold with overnight lows in Corpus Christi around 40 degrees. Some of our inland communities may dip briefly in the upper 30s, but everyone is expected to remain above freezing with a north-northeasterly wind around 10-15 mph.

Thursday will be the coolest day, with a little bit more cloud coverage, but still nice, and a high of 64.

Winds will increase again on Friday and into Saturday with a southeasterly wind taking over. This will warm temperatures up again with 70s on Friday and 80s on Saturday.

The next cold front will arrive Saturday night and into Sunday morning and that will bring morning lows back in the 40s early next week and highs back into the low 70s and near seasonal.

Rain chances, unfortunately, still look dismal throughout the next seven days.

Have a great day!
