CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nature provides a one-two punch for the Coastal Bend over the next week, featuring two cold fronts over the next five days that will bring scattered showers but no severe conditions.

The first front tonight brings brief cooling followed by a quick warm-up ono Sunday.

The second front means cooler air Tuesday through Friday.

The initial blast of chilly air arrives after sundown tonight, and will be associated with gusty north winds and a few showers.

The chill will last only through Saturday, with moderation Saturday night, Sunday and Monday. A more long-lasting cool down arrives Monday night and extends through the end of the week, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s to lower 60s.
