CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A coastal trough is keeping a layer of low clouds over the Middle Texas Coast late today, but a cold front tonight will sweep away any hint of moisture from the region through midweek.
Temperatures will slowly moderate Wednesday through Friday, then a cold front Saturday brings colder, showery weather. Today's clouds and isolated coastal showers will give way to dry, Polar air rushing into the region late this evening. That will clear skies and send temperatures to below normal through the middle of the week. By late Thursday, the Polar high pressure moves east and returns mild, humid conditions to the region.
Another cold front arrives Saturday afternoon, and with abundant Gulf moisture in place will generate scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Temperatures return to near or slightly above normal Sunday through Wednesday, with no additional rainfall expected.
