CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Abundant moisture in conjunction with a late summer cold front brought ample rain and unusually cool weather to the Coastal Bend on Thursday, but a quick return to warmth and drier conditions looms.
Still, more rainfall is in the offing for the first of next week.
In the wake of localized heavy rain earlier today, showers and thunderstorms will be isolated tonight, Friday and Saturday as upper-level support for the wet weather moves out of range.
By Sunday afternoon, another slow moving disturbance approaches from the west to bring a good chance of thunderstorms through midweek.
Skies become party cloudy on Thursday.
The briefly cooler air moves out quickly, leaving highs from the upper 80s to lower 90s.
Lows will be in the 70s.
