CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After a rainy, windy weekend, the work week is starting off quiet but cold.

The northerly winds will keep our daytime temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s through Tuesday with nights in the 30s. A light freeze is expected in our inland areas Tuesday morning.

Winds will shift to the southeast Wednesday and we'll be back to our normal, mild days for the rest of the week with dry weather as we head toward the weekend.

The clouds will be stubborn today, only breaking up slightly and temperatures will stay chilly. The north breeze will make it feel more like the upper 20s and 30s in the morning as temperatures slowly climb from the 30s then into the upper 40s this afternoon with north winds at 12-20 mph.

The wind will die down tonight and temperatures will fall to near 30 inland where a light freeze is expected. Corpus Christi will stay above freezing with a low of 33 early Tuesday morning. Tuesday will still be cool with highs near 50 with partly sunny skies and north winds up to 12 mph.

We'll start warming up Wednesday as winds shift to the southeast which will boost afternoon temperatures into the lower 60s. Sunshine will be more abundant to end the week and days will reach near 70 as dry weather continues.
