CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Today was another brutally hot and humid one for the Coastal Bend, but conditions will gradually become less intense as the week progresses and upper level high pressure moves further north.
By the end of the work week, even some rain showers will return to the region.
The extremely hot and humid conditions prompted another heat advisory for today, but conditions may not warrant another advisory Tuesday, and likely not for the remainder of the week.
In fact, as the upper level ridge pushes into the Southern Plains it will allow a weak upper level disturbance moving across the Gulf of Mexico to bring isolated showers for Friday and Saturday.
The disturbance moves away Sunday, and with it so go the rain chances. Highs will be in the lower to middle 90s, with lows from the middle 70s to near 80.
