CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Skies were fair to partly cloudy over the Coastal Bend late today, with a persistent east wind beginning to increase humidity over the region.

Temperatures warmed into the 70s to lower 80s, but no rain was detected. Expect a few more days of pleasant weather, with only a few showers on Friday.

The large surface high over the Eastern U.S. now is dipping its circulation into the Gulf of Mexico, and that pattern returns humidity to the area. No upper level instability will be present to generate significant rain until early next week, but one or two fleeting showers may develop on Friday.

Look for isolated showers Sunday night with a cold front that will bring temperatures down about ten degrees early next week.

Another front early Wednesday will keep temperatures a little below normal. Highs will be in the 70s to lower 80s, with lows in the upper 50s to middle 60s.
