Drier air has moved in, providing us with sunshine and lower humidity which will make for great weather to end the work week. We’ll see slowly rising humidity as the winds shift to the southeast this weekend with breezy weather returning by Sunday.

Tonight: We’ll stay clear and pleasant as low temperatures fall into the lower 60s and winds become light and variable by morning.

Friday: The weather looks great as we’ll have lower humidity and high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s as thin, high clouds stream through the region. Beaches will reach the upper 70s to near 80 Friday as northeast winds shift to the east up to 12 mph.

Weekend into next week: The weather looks great for Buc Days Rodeo, Rockport Kite Festival and SandFest at Port Aransas this weekend as skies remain mostly sunny. Winds shift to  the southeast Saturday which will cause the humidity to slowly rise through Sunday as dew points climb into the mid to upper 60s. Days stay warm with highs reaching the upper 70s at the beaches to the mid 80s inland this weekend but winds will become gusty, up to 25 mph Saturday and gusts to 30 mph Sunday. Heading into next week, an approaching upper level trough will shift our winds aloft to the southwest which will send high clouds into the area while low clouds develop as our onshore flow at the surface increases. We’ll have less sunshine for the first half of the week along with a stray shower chance Monday night through Wednesday as high temperatures reach into the mid 80s.
