Cloudy skies, cool weather, and the potential for a few showers are in the forecast for St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Friday: Much cooler

A cold front will move through overnight, bringing in cooler air by early Friday. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s throughout the day with cloudy skies.

By Friday night, showers are expected to form across the region. The best chance for rain will be along the coastline.

Saturday: Rain early, then cloudy

Rain is possible Saturday morning, but the coverage of the showers should start to taper off by afternoon. It will still be damp, cloudy, and cold with temperatures only in the 40s. You’ll want the green jacket and green umbrella if you’re headed to the block party downtown.

Sunday: A little drier

Still cloudy, still cool, but the chance of rain goes down on Sunday. A little drizzle or mist still can’t be ruled out.
