Not everyone will see freezing temperatures tonight, but parts of the Coastal Bend may see their first freeze this winter.
The northern Coastal Bend is poised to see a freeze overnight—that’s for areas in pink in the photo above.
In the purple, a freeze will be possible. If the clouds clear enough overnight, then these areas will likely dip to 32 degrees for a few minutes. This includes Corpus Christi, Portland, Kingsville, and Calallen.
Areas along the immediate coastline, including Port Aransas, are expected to stay a few degrees above freezing.
At least a little bit of sunshine is expected for Tuesday, but it will still only take us to the 50s for high temperatures. Wind chills will be in the 20s again during the morning.
