Put away your coat yet? You better get it back out. A strong winter cold front will blast through the Coastal Bend as we kick off next week.

Friday: A little warmer

Mostly cloudy skies will remain for Friday, but the rain chances will go down. However, a few sprinkles will be possible. Highs will be closer to 70 degrees, and sea fog will once again be possible.

Saturday and Sunday

The skies will still have lots of clouds for the weekend, but occasional periods of sunshine will be possible. It will also be much warmer with highs near or surpassing 80 degrees.

A cold front will move through on Sunday evening and could bring a shower or storm. Overall rain chances will be low.

Next week: Winter returns

Behind the cold front, cold air will sweep over South Texas. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees, and it will feel like it is near freezing. Even on Tuesday, temperatures don’t change too much, so get the winter coat ready!
