The blast of cold air continued to impact the Coastal Bend on Tuesday with temperatures struggling to get out of the 50s. However, the coldest is still to come. Temperatures are expected to fall to freezing by early Wednesday morning.

Tuesday night

Temperatures will fall quickly on Tuesday night thanks to clear skies. Our first freeze of the season is expected Wednesday morning. Areas away from the coastline will see temperatures in the 20s, with temperatures in Corpus Christi around 32 degrees. You’ll want to take the typical freezing weather precautions—bring in pets, cover plants, and wrap exposed plumbing pipes.

Wednesday’s forecast

Sunshine will be abundant on Wednesday which will take us from near freezing in the morning to the upper 50s by afternoon.

By Wednesday night, inland areas are likely to hit freezing again, but Corpus Christi looks like it will stay just above that 32-degree mark.

Thursday and Friday

The sunshine will continue for the rest of the week as temperatures rebound to the 60s for Thursday and the 70s for Friday.
