The stretch of sunny weather is fading, but most of us will escape the rain on Thursday and at least the first half of Friday. The rain becomes more widespread by the weekend.

Thursday’s forecast

While there is a chance of rain for Thursday, it’s fairly low. A few isolated showers and storms will try to pop up along the sea breeze, but most folks are likely to stay dry. As a result, the sun will shine and warm us to near 90 degrees.

Friday’s forecast

The chance for rain increases for Friday, but this still won’t be the main time frame for the expected rain. Expect some scattered showers as we wrap up the work week. We’ll still look for highs near 90 degrees, but there is likely to be some added cloud cover streaming overhead from heavy rain to the north of our area.

Saturday and Sunday

The best chance of rain arrives by the weekend. Expect the scattered rain and cloud cover to stick around through Sunday, and likely even continuing into the start of next week. That’s all thanks to the unsettled weather pattern that looks to occupy the Coastal Bend through next week.
