The current weather pattern over Texas is shaping up to be very conducive for scattered showers and storms for the next two days—potentially even lasting into Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday

Expect mostly cloudy skies with more scattered showers and storms for the middle of the week. The added clouds and rain in the area will keep temperatures down in the upper 80s and low 90s. Most of the storms have not fired up until the afternoon for the past few days, but it looks like we could even see some rain during the morning hours on Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, some will miss out on the rain, but those that get the rain will get a healthy downpour.

Tropics Watch

Gordon will be making landfall along the northern Gulf coast on Tuesday night. The threat for heavy rain is expected to be the rain risk with the storm. Up to 12 inches of rain can be expected in some spots. The storm will be moving northward into the Midwest and will have no effect on the Coastal Bend.
