Coaches from Texas A&M Kingsville stopped at Fajitaville on North Beach for the second leg of a four city tour known as the coaches caravan. It is an opportunity for the public to meet the leaders of their favorite sports team. This past year as proved extremely fruitful for the Javelinas who produced national titles in volleyball and track; the baseball team broke into the College World series for the first time in school history as well.
"I think it’s up to us to go and get into their world, into their communities, and tell them what’s going on in our university," head basketball coach, Johnny Estelle told KZTV.
"They are so excited just to talk with us and get to know us and we wanna hear their story, like Johnny said, we wanna know them and it’s a really good feeling, it does, it feels like family," head volleyball coach, Tanya Allen said.
The tour continues on to San Antonio and will make it’s last stop in Houston.
