Troubleshooters: Contractors go to court

and last updated

Two contractors who have been in Troubleshooters reports are headed to court.

Action 10 has reported on complaints made against David Barclay by his customers.  Now one of them has filed felony theft charges against him.  An Aransas County grand jury indicted David Barclay and there was a warrant out for his arrest.  Corpus Christi Police arrested him just last week.  He bonded out but has an Aransas County court date coming up.

And another person the Troubleshooters have reported on is also headed to court.  He is Augustin Balboa III of AB Appliance Repair.  His customers have been coming to us with complaints about him since at least 2012.  Well he’s been indicted on a charge of exploitation of children, the elderly or disabled.  It’s a third-degree felony punishable by up to ten years behind bars and up to a $10,000 fine.  The people who’ve contacted us shared similar stories they paid him for services he never provided.  Balboa is scheduled for a hearing in the 105th district court at 9 o’clock in the morning.
