On today’s Troubleshooters, a woman says she paid a contractor, in full, in February, for work that is still not done. But he promised to call her last Friday night to get this resolved. One of the first things you see when you walk into Kay Lewis’ house is this toilet."How long has it been sitting there?" we asked her. "Uh, it’s been sitting here ever since February."That’s 5 months ago. There is also tile and grout laying on the floor, which may explain why she’s able to lift up the tile squares in the bathroom. And outside, she pointed out unfilled holes along the foundation. In January she hired Dwayne Gable and Gulf Coast Foundation to tile her bathroom and fix the foundation problem at her home. And in February, she paid him in full, nearly $3,500.00."Nothing that he wrote on that day what I pay in full, not done," Lewis told the Troubleshooters. In March, she paid an attorney to send Gable a demand letter. And now she’s called the Troubleshooters to help her get this resolved, including the lifetime guarantee certificate handwritten on the contract? So we called Gable."Oh, I know what you’re talking about there. Ok, I know what’s going on," he said by phone. "Hey, tell Ms. Lewis I’ll call her this evening and I’ll talk with her there and we’ll get it straightened out there. She’s sitting right here. Tell her yourself. You can speak to her Jeff. She can hear you. Ms. Lewis, I’ll give you a call back this evening. ok?"Well, Ms. Lewis tells us Dwayne Gable did not call her back Friday night as he said he would. We called him around 11;30 today and left a message. As always, whenever you need help from the Troubleshooters, send us an email to Troubleshooters@kztv10.com.
