Last Friday, the Troubleshooters reported on a woman who feels like she was stiffed by a contractor.  We have an update on this story.

On Friday, Yolanda Ramos told her story to the Troubleshooters.  She had hired Anselmo and Daniel Zapata, in April, to do some work at a property her father owns.  Paid them $3000.00, but says she never agreed to, or signed a contract, or was given receipts.

Miss Ramos says she called us because, here it is July, and the work still isn’t completely done.  On Friday, we also we spoke with Daniel Zapata, by phone.  He claimed Ramos made the deal with his brother.

So this morning we spoke with Anselmo Zapata by phone.  He acknowledges there was no contract and that Ramos paid him $3000.00 and that she always wanted him working on the job.  But he claims he did more work than he and Ramos originally agreed to, like plumbing and hanging sheetrock.
So if anything, Ramos owes him money.  He also insists he offered Ramos an $800.00 refund, but she turned it down.
