Two Texas lawmakers are placing a bet on a new gambling law making its way through the state legislature this session.
Republican representative John Kuempel filed a bill in the House, and Democratic senator Carol Avarado filed a bill in the Senate. The proposals would create special casino licenses for four destination resorts in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
The move would require amending the Texas Constitution.
