Tornados and severe storms have caused major damage to the city of Abilene, Texas.
They announced the drafting of a disaster declaration this afternoon and signed it.
Officials say the west side of the city is severely damaged. City crews are working on citywide power outages.
So far no injuries or fatalities have been reported in regards to the storm.
