According to the Dallas Morning News, Beto O’Rourke has officially announced he will not be running against Texas Republican John Cornyn for Senate in 2020.

Although he hasn’t officially announced a presidential bid, sources close to him say that he will announce whether or not he will be running for president in the next coming weeks.

“I’m not going to give a date certain but hope to be able to say something pretty soon,” the El Paso Congressman told The Texas Tribune.

With the democratic ticket crowded with names like Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Cory Booker, and Kirsten Gillibrand, O’ Rourke says he wants to do what is best to serve his country.

“Amy and I have made a decision about how we can best serve our country,” O’Rourke said to Dallas Morning News, “We are excited to share it with everyone soon.”
