Residents in West Texas got a wakeup call in the form of a small earthquake this morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 2.9 magnitude quake struck in an area about halfway between El Paso and Odessa, approximately 60 miles north of Van Horn at 7:08 a.m. Central Standard Time, at a depth of 3.1 miles.
