BEEVILLE, texas — 10-year old Adasyn Carracco raised more than $700 to help out the Beeville Animal Shelter.
She was recognized at Tuesday night's city council meeting.
With the help of her mom, it only took Adasyn about a week to raise the money on social media.
They then purchased food for the animals at the shelter and delivered it.
Animal control expects the funds to last about three to four months.
The shelter says donations are always welcomed.
This is Carracco's second year raising money for the animal shelter.
