INGLESIDE, Texas — The Ingleside Police Department was pleasantly surprised by a woman who was helped by two officers last November.
On November 1, 2020, two Ingleside officers Ruth Ryles, 88, after she was left stranded because her car ran out of gas.
The Officers helped Ryles to their police units, bought her gas and then followed her to a gas station to fill up.
On Monday, Ryles showed up at the Ingleside Police Department to express her appreciation for what they did.
She left what the department calls a "terrific donation" to start off the collection for the department's 2021 Blue Santa.
