Whole slew of artists to play at upcoming Texas Jazz Festival

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's that time of year again, the Texas Jazz Festival is right around he corner and organizers want to you to get ready.

Celebrating its 59th year, the Texas Jazz Festival Society is excited to welcome a number of music artists to the area including Tom Braxton, Kyle Turner, and Freddie Martinez just to name a few.

The event will offer three stages of live jazz music, food vendors along with a salsa dancing experience.

It's all happening October 18-20 at the Heritage Park. The event is free to the public.

"At this point we will never, as far as I know, we will never charge the public. the poorest man to the richest man can come and have a good time and enjoy the festival," said Nick Martinez, festival organizer.

The Texas Jazz Festival is the longest and largest free running festival in the world.
