CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man driving near Labonte Park ran off the access road and drove his truck into the Nueces River on Tuesday afternoon.
He was holding on to his sinking truck when some passing motorists saw him and pulled him from the river. The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked for injuries.
The truck went completely under water, but fortunately no one else was in it.
