CORPUS CHRISTI — People living near the STX Beef Processing Plant on Leopard Street had their concerns heard about a foul odor and manure on the road.
During a community meeting, plant representatives said they're addressing the manure issue and they've brought in a new chemical supplier to treat their water.
Neighbors of the plant say the foul odor is still lingering but it's not nearly as bad as before.
"I like what they had to say. Some of the things they can't control we have complaints about but were working on finding what to do about that too," said neighbor Caroll Barnes.
STX Representatives also said the plant should be fully operational by the third quarter of next year.
