South side family's life-size nativity a Christmas tradition

A family on the south side of town has been setting up a nativity scene in front of their home for 21 years now.

And it's not your average nativity scene.

This massive display on Willowbrook Drive includes life-size camels and live pigeons and doves.

They begin the set up each year around Oct. 1.

"I started getting the pieces little-by-little -- Joseph, Mary, The Wise Men ... and as the years went on I added, added, added," said Ray Bocanegra. "About 15 years, I had everything."

The Bocanegras leave the nativity scene up until Jan. 15, attracting thousands of visitors through the holiday season.

They also hand out popcorn for visitors.

If you'd like to check it out, the home is located at 4826 Willowbrook Drive.
