CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Students and staff at Solomon Coles High School are celebrating Black History Month.
The school has an exhibit spread out over 20 different hallway displays. Each of the displays highlights black historical figures.
Joel Gonzales the Assistant Principal Solomon Coles High School, " They need to see people that are successful. People like them. People that they can look up to and say you know what I know that person works on my campus or that person is from my city. Someone they can aspire to be."
Black History Month has been celebrated every February since 1976.
