CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Knowing if you are COVID-19 positive or negative is a crucial preventative measure in order to slow down the spread of the virus.

Now here in Corpus Christi, a new testing site has just opened and is free to the public. Medical professionals are stressing the importance of keeping a healthy and safe community.

The company YesNoCOVID.com is based in Austin and has rapid testing sites spread out all over the state of Texas. Locally, there are now two locations which include 5444 McArdle Road and 5940 South Padre Island Drive on the corner of Airline Road.

Workers at these sites say the nasal swab results will come back the same day in 15 minutes.

“From a professional standpoint it makes me feel really good because it’s almost like I’m giving back to the community, that is something that I really like to do, I really like to help,” said YesNoCOVID.com area manager Juan Rodriguez.

The COVID-19 rapid testing is open to all ages. It opens every day 8 am - 6 pm and is free for all ages.

“You like to be social, definitely get checked especially right now, it’s free it’s not going to cost a dime and it won’t hurt to know, and it will defiantly save hundreds of lives,” said Rodriguez.

Folks wanting to get their free testing are encouraged to make an appointment online.
