CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Dozens of people in Corpus Christi received a flu shot for free on Friday morning.
The Coastal Bend Community Foundation partnered with Corpus Christi Mayor Joe McComb's Disaster Relief fund for the event.
Held at the Amistad Community Health Center; officials say the Disaster Relief Fund raised nearly half a million dollars which was used to provide the flu shots for people who do not have insurance.
The people where also checked for diabetes, high blood pressure and depression.
