An investigation by the Nueces County Sheriff's Office showed there were no signs of foul play involved with a death early Wednesday morning inside the Nueces County Jail.
Sheriff J.C. Hooper told KRIS 6 News the death, which occurred around 6 a.m., appears to be of natural causes.
The dead man was in his late 40's.
As with all deaths, the Texas Rangers will investigate.
