CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A raging grass fire kept firefighters busy for a portion of Thursday afternoon.
The fire broke out in the 1300 block of Saratoga near the Crosstown Expressway.
Firefighters with the Nueces County E.S.D. #2 responded.
Firefighters said they were one of the stations that responded to the blaze which erupted around 4 p.m. near the land fill.
Some abandoned vehicles were destroyed in the fire.
But at last report, no structures were damaged.
