PREMONT, Texas — A fire that happened at an abandoned office building Sunday night is being called suspicious.
The Chief of the Premont Volunteer Fire Department says firefighters spotted smoke coming from an old abandoned building at the corner of Northwest First Street and Agnes. It took several hours for crews to put the flames out.
The Brooks County Fire Department did help with putting out the fire. The building was destroyed, but nobody was hurt.
Officials say the source of the fire so far is undetermined and being investigated.
