CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The search is on for a vehicle that was taken by thieves right before the Christmas holiday.

This took place in the Calallen area on County Road 75.

The family was in complete shock after they woke up and found their SUV gone.

They say they’re not only looking for the vehicle, but also the merchandise inside the car.

The vehicle was filled with presents to help one family member have a great Christmas.

Jennifer Jones says her father’s car was loaded up with presents and ready to head out of town.

He was going to see her brother, Drew.

Jones' 29-year-old special-needs brother, Drew, loves Christmas.

However, Drew is in the hospital getting surgery for kidney concerns in the Rio Grande Valley city of San Benito.

Their dad was going to surprise Drew with gifts.

Yet that surprise was stripped away after their father's car was stolen, leaving Drew's gifts gone.

“He's not going to understand why it was missing, and if he understood that they were stolen he would still be okay,” she said.

Jones took this theft to social media, alerting the community.

The stolen vehicle is described as a white, four-door Buick Enclave with an attached trailer hitch.

Jones says Drew not getting the gifts her father worked hard to find breaks her heart.

“He would never know the feeling of hate, and it just makes me sad that my brother doesn't get to see those gifts," she said. "He looks forward to those things.”

She said she will continue to search for the stolen SUV, and will do the best she can to make sure her brother has a great Christmas.
