CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Family and friends are desperately searching for a couple last seen in the Corpus Christi area.

According to the Kleberg County Sheriff's Office, James and Michelle Butler were possibly last seen at around noon Oct. 14 at the Padre Balli Park.

James' sister tells Action 10 News the couple was headed to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to work a part-time job selling Christmas trees.

They were scheduled to arrive on Nov. 20.

She tells Action 10 News it's unusual for the couple not to communicate with the family, adding they would never leave without letting family know.

The last time James' sister spoke to him was when he told her they were able to stay on the beach for free.

The Kleberg County Sheriff's Office says James and Michelle Butler have been entered as missing persons with the Texas Crime Information Center.

They are traveling in a 2018 Silver Chevrolet 2500 four-door pickup with New Hampshire license plate number 3738968.

They are pulling a white Cedar Creek RV with New Hampshire license plate number T533534.
