FALFURRIAS, TEXAS — The city of Falfurrias, located in Brooks County, is under a water boil order, that's according to the City's Facebook page.
According to AEPTexas.com, as of 6:40 p.m. Monday, 1,375 customers are also without power in the area.
In a Facebook post, Mandy Ochoa, the City's Finance Officer, asked residents to be patient. She said county employees are out doing the best they can to restore electricity and water outages.
Due to the weather, City offices will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
There is a shelter set up at the Falfurrias High School gym for anyone who needs a warm, safe place to stay.
