CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Sounds like 87-year-old Bobbie Lord, a single mother of two and a US Air Force veteran, will have a new home.
Lord's niece tells us the homeowners insurance company has been in contact with the family and said the home would be rebuilt.
Lord and her identical twin daughters with Down Syndrome, were in the home when a fire broke out in the garage.
A generator was on to provide heat since the house had lost power days earlier. The temperature inside was 41 degrees.
When neighbors saw smoke coming from the garage, they responded immediately. Ms. Lord and her 2 daughters made it out without any injuries. They did not have to be hospitalized.
